Mid 2007 saw a host of Celebrities sporting short-trendy crop cuts and bob’s of all shapes and sizes, with the likes of Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes breaking from the longhair mould of Hollywood, and showing off their individuality and strong personalities. The bob hairstyle trend is set to continue this year; with Paris Hilton getting rid of her long hair-extensions for her New Year’s party ensuring that she stepped into 2008 with a soft, fun bob. And a bonus, it makes her look more mature.
But, long soft and flowing hairstyles are still top of the list this year and will continue to be for a long time to come, as just recently witnessed on the Red Carpet of the SAG Awards. Celebrities use this ultra feminine hairstyle at any occasion, from casual shopping sprees with friends to Red Carpet appearances. It’s a classic look that suits most face shapes and it’s not that difficult to create and maintain.

A hot trend this year is incorporating the blunt-cut bang. Ideally it should be a thick long bang that hangs just over the eyebrows as seen with Reese Witherspoon. This trend can be incorporated into any length style, for longer hairstyles add different length and styled layers to frame the face.
It’s important to remember that bangs don’t suit everyone, make sure you discuss your options with your hairstylist; he/she will be able to give you good advice that looks at your hair type and face shape. And definitely stay way if you have very curly hair.
